Seiko 5 Sports Customize Campaign Limited Edition. To celebrate the 55th anniversary of Seiko 5 Sports, fans worldwide were invited to “Show Your Love for Seiko 5 Sports” by designing customized watches based on vintage Seiko styles. On a dedicated website, participants could choose from among 57 style and color elements, including cases, bracelets, straps, bezels, dials, markers and hands. Everyone logging on to the site could then vote on all contenders, with the winner in each of four regions (Japan, the Americas, Asia and Europe) to be available in a limited production run of 1,968, with the serial number engraved on each special 55th Anniversary Limited Edition screwdown see-through caseback. Top place for the Americas, this dynamic watch features a black dial with gold accents, day/date calendar, orange second hand, and luminous hands and markers, framed by a black uni-directional rotating bezel ring. Providing automatic technology that you control with every movement, the 24-jewel movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours and manual winding capability.
