The Brinker’s family has a deep passion for jewelry and gemstones and from that passion comes 45 years of beautifully designed, custom created jewelry pieces and generations of happy customers.
Dean Brinker, President of Brinker’s Jewelers, lives not only for the beauty of the jewelry he and the Brinker’s Jewelers team creates, but for the joy and emotion each piece they make brings their customers. Dean says, “My warranty is, make our customer happy, we want to create something you want to wear and enjoy.”
At Brinker’s Jewelers, the custom jewelry design process is simple and can start by bringing in a rough pencil sketch on a napkin or scheduling a meeting with one of our three Master Jewelers.
Our jewelers will ask you questions, discuss other types of jewelry you already own and listen to what it is that you wish to uniquely create. This will give us an idea of the style of jewelry you like and exactly what you envision your custom piece to look like.
Topics such as jewelry style, purpose, durability, metal type, and gemstones will be brought up in conversation to make the design and decision making process much smoother.
Once we have worked with you to get a final design sketched out, we then move on to the CAD process. With our computer-aided design software, we are able to create your jewelry vision in 3D form.
This 3D rendering will give you an excellent idea of what your custom jewelry piece will look like in its final form. At this stage, we can make changes to your piece before moving on to the wax model phase.
After we have talked through your original sketch, and you have approved the 3D CAD rendering, our Master Jewelers then create a wax model of your beautifully designed piece.
The wax model will be an exact replica of what your piece will become, even down to the size if needed. Creating a wax model enables our Master Jewelers to portray even the most intricate details of your ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings.
Next, your piece will be cast in the metal of your choosing. Yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum are some of our most popular precious metal choices, but we are capable of working in other metals if your design calls for it. Like all other work at Brinker’s Jewelers, all casting and metal work is done in our store. With over a combined 200 years of custom design and jewelry experience, we must say we do it quite well.
Once your piece is cast and the metal work has been completed, it is time to set the stones you have chosen. All stones sold in our store are hand selected by a Brinker family member. And in turn, are hand selected by you to be placed in your custom designed piece.
The final stage is to clean and polish the piece until flawless perfection. The entire custom jewelry design process at Brinker’s Jewelers only takes 2-4 weeks, longer for more extravagant and rare pieces and shorter for simple redesigns.
Experiencing the creation process and owning a custom designed piece from Brinker’s Jewelers is a unique and personal experience. Dean Brinker says it best, “Custom is not always expensive. Custom is what makes my customers happy and creates emotion, it’s unique to the individual.”
Whether it is a cross necklace for Pope John Paul or an engagement ring for your bride-to-be, when you start from the beginning at Brinker’s Jewelers you know exactly what you are getting.
