The Brinker’s family has a deep passion for jewelry and gemstones.
From that passion comes 45 years of beautifully designed, custom-created jewelry pieces and multiple generations of happy customers.
Dean Brinker, President of Brinker’s Jewelers, lives for the beautiful jewelry that he and the Brinker’s Jewelers team creates and the emotion each piece evokes from their customers.
“My warranty is: make our customer happy. We want to create something you want to wear and enjoy.” – Dean Brinker
Custom Jewelry Design
At Brinker’s Jewelers, the custom jewelry design process is simple.
The Brinker’s custom design process can start in a variety of ways. Whether you bring in a rough pencil sketch on a napkin or simply have the vision in your head, we’ll be happy to schedule a meeting with one of our three Master Jewelers to discuss the next steps.
Our jewelers will ask you technical questions, discuss other types of jewelry you already own, and listen to your unique ideas.
This will give us an idea of your preferred style of jewelry. Our goal is to fully understand your vision.
Topics such as jewelry style, intended purpose, material durability, metal type, and preferred gemstone will be brought up to simplify and smoothen the design and decision-making process.
Once we’ve worked with you to sketch a final design, we’ll move on to the CAD process.
With the assistance of our computer design software, we’re able to create your jewelry vision in 3D form.
3D Modeling and Rendering
This 3D rendering will give you an excellent idea of what your custom jewelry piece will look like in its final form. At this stage, we can make changes to your piece before moving on to the wax model phase.
After we’ve talked through your original sketch, and once you’ve approved the 3D CAD rendering, our Master Jewelers will then create a wax model of your uniquely-inspired piece of jewelry.
The wax model will be an exact replica of what your piece will become, even down to the size, if that’s necessary for the specific style of jewelry.
Creating a wax model enables our Master Jewelers to perfectly reflect the most intricate details of your ring, necklace, bracelet, or earrings.
Casting
Next, your piece will be cast in the metal of your choosing. Yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, and platinum are some of our most popular precious metal choices. However, we’re capable of working with other metals if your design calls for it. Like all other creations at Brinker’s Jewelers, all casting and metal work is completed in-store. With over 200 years of custom design and jewelry experience combined, we know exactly what we’re doing.
Once your custom jewelry piece is cast, and once the metal work is completed, it’s time to set the stones you’ve chosen. All stones sold in our store are hand-selected by a Brinker family member to be placed in your custom designed piece.
Final Touches
The final stage is to clean and polish your piece until we’re confident in its flawless perfection.
The entire custom jewelry design process at Brinker’s Jewelers only takes 2-4 weeks. For more extravagant and rare pieces, the process may take longer, but for simple redesigns, this can be the expected process length.
Experiencing the unique creation process and owning a custom designed piece from Brinker’s Jewelers is a special and personal experience.
Dean Brinker says it best, “Custom is not always expensive. Custom is what makes my customers happy and creates emotion. It’s unique to the individual.”
Whether it’s a cross necklace for Pope John Paul or an engagement ring for your bride-to-be, when you start from the beginning at Brinker’s Jewelers, you know exactly what you’re getting. Be sure to schedule an appointment with one of our Master Jewelers!
